Armed with nothing but arms and the warm parts that make us man We live and love to enjoy life as happily as we can My heart's red and I have a phone with an unlimited data plan So I can text my friends or google what I want all in my hand They've got their index on AK triggers We have IG open up under our fingers How does the shooter look through any number of filters Gut's sick with Ludwig, summer of killers Do you think some folks just aren't made right More machine than human being With minds of great whites and hands of shank knives Coursing with steam instead of blood, that overheats and break pipes Given the fulfillment of getting something great when they take lives Or is it gun control and the laws in state lines That influence or allow the action of hate crimes Is it religious fervor a fever fed since age 5 Video games, marijuana, a Marilyn Manson stage dive News spreads fast through the timeline grape vine My Facebook friends are news anchors, CNN cant replace vine Does it taste better when you're told it tastes fine When the world gives you lemons you just gotta make wine Is there a true safe space anywhere across the earth When we experience loss we're at a loss for words These scribblings can't express the crippling distress these thoughts bring Or protect our siblings from the singing of the shot's ring I'm learning to hear sirens like white noise to sleep and relax And remembering our body's temporary, even our tats So when these horrifying acts shake our Eden know I fear it too And that when you bleed, I'm bleeding Yup, I'm here with you.

He was born with his sexuality backwards And the homo strives to be a rapper But rap's homophobic, so why should he listen When it's not made for him, it’s for straight men and butchy women He adapted by subtracting personality from actions And focused on being straight, or at least, "straight acting" But music’s his passion, there he felt protected Though he believed he had to keep himself and music separate As if the real correct him had to be corrected Wasn’t even sure his DJ would accept it This culture's his release But by this culture he's neglected Though its roots are from oppression His objections are rejected And he wouldn't be pressed on record unless he repressed it That’s how it is and he grew to expect it 'Til realizing hiding gives in to their pressure And validates the concept that a gay man is lesser As if it's a disease, treated like a leper Why the fuck you think I stayed so long in the dresser I want to love life, I do really bad But life's a bitch, and I'm a fucking fag Nothing fabulous about being type cast as fabulous Or hearing your honest way of life used as a diss You can hate me, but I wont hate you This isn't gay rap, do gay chefs make gay food? Now throw your hands in the air If you won't hold hands because people will stare And wave em side to side If you don’t feel proud when you hear the word pride MC's won't see me equally Like this weakens me I know "flamers" disowned by their homes and thrown to the streets Taunted and beat, the things they’ve seen… Most kings of rap haven’t been through half the hard shit as these queens Im not exploiting a niche It's more than a cause It's cuz Patrick was perfect But flawed under god So I'm coming out for the brightest man I've met Ashamed to hold up his head, found hung by his neck Im scared, but I don't want the younger generation to feel this afraid They have to see a gay candidate Just to show kids it's possible to run And who they are’s not an obstacle to jump.
